Merchandiser, Global Merchandising - Menswear at a leading luxury fashion house in Paris — lead global menswear assortment, forecasting and commercial performance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute global menswear assortment and range strategies aligned with brand positioning and seasonal directives.
- Develop SKU-level range plans, structure product families and establish price architecture across regions and channels.
- Produce demand forecasts, sell-through projections and Open-to-Buy (OTB) plans to optimize inventory and margin.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with design, product development, sourcing, supply-chain and regional commercial teams to ensure on-time delivery and assortment consistency.
- Manage allocation and replenishment rules for retail, wholesale and e-commerce; recommend transfers and markdown strategies to maximize sell-through.
- Analyse sell-in, sell-out and distribution performance, preparing weekly/monthly reports and presenting actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
- Partner with wholesale and key accounts on range selection, commercial presentations and order negotiations.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer segmentation to inform range and price decisions.
- Support seasonal buy cycles, line reviews and product introductions; ensure visual and merchandising readiness for launch.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Economics or related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Proven track record (typically 4–7+ years) in apparel merchandising or assortment planning, ideally within luxury menswear.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable experience in forecasting, range planning and inventory management.
- Experience working across international markets and multiple channels (retail, wholesale, e‑commerce).
- Excellent analytical skills with capacity to translate data into commercial recommendations and actionable plans.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (French, Italian) considered an advantage.

Typically 4–7+ years of progressive merchandising or planning experience in apparel, with a proven record in menswear assortment strategy, forecasting and multi-channel commercial management. Experience within luxury brands or premium fashion houses preferred.
Education
