Burberry Tokyo hiring a Marketing Manager — lead paid & owned media, events and campaigns for Japan. Location: Tokyo, Japan.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver comprehensive 360° marketing and product campaigns for the Japan market in partnership with global and APAC teams.
  • Plan and execute paid and owned media strategies, including digital, OOH and department-store media placements, to drive brand awareness and store traffic.
  • Develop and manage local social activations and content calendar (LINE), ensuring alignment with global creative, commercial and seasonal timelines.
  • Own end-to-end production of localised creative and copy: briefing, vendor coordination, quality control and final delivery.
  • Create and deliver brand and commercial event strategies, leading stakeholder engagement and ensuring best-in-class on-the-ground execution.
  • Manage marketing budgets and agency partners, set KPIs and measure ROI; provide regular performance reporting and insights to regional and global teams.
  • Coordinate closely with PR & Communications, Merchandising, Retail and Client Engagement to ensure cohesive activation and commercial alignment.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends; surface actionable insights and best practices to global/APAC teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in fashion marketing with demonstrable media buying experience.
  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English (written and spoken).
  • Proven track record managing agencies, vendors and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail and superior project management capability.
  • Commercially minded with experience setting KPIs, managing budgets and reporting ROI.
  • Passion for branding, digital communications and community/culture-driven marketing.

Experience
