Burberry is seeking a Lead Network Security Architect in Leeds, GB. This role involves defining and communicating the technology strategy for network security across the global enterprise.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Own and communicate the Network Security technology strategy and vision.
  • Define and maintain 3-5 year roadmaps for Network Security aligned with organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain secure network architecture frameworks in line with business and security requirements.
  • Design and oversee the implementation of security controls across LAN, WAN, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance network security.
  • Define and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT, Security, and business stakeholders to align security architecture with enterprise goals.
  • Lead risk assessments and threat modeling exercises for network infrastructure.
  • Oversee deployment of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other network security tools.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and NIST.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to network engineers.
  • Participate in incident response and forensic investigations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in network security, with at least 3 years in an architecture role.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols.
  • Expertise in security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, proxies, IDS/IPS, NAC, and SIEM.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, and securing cloud networks.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and SASE frameworks.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CCIE Security, AWS/Azure Security.

Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience with automation and scripting. Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipeline security.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years in network security, with at least 3 years in an architectural capacity.
