HR Advisor (Line Manager Advisory) at a leading luxury fashion house — Paris, France. Provide manager coaching, employee relations and HR advisory.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day coaching and advisory support to line managers on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Advise managers on recruitment, onboarding, role design and workforce planning to ensure staffing aligns with commercial and operational needs.
- Interpret and apply local employment legislation, company policies and collective agreements to minimise legal and reputational risk.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and Centres of Excellence to implement HR programmes, restructures and change initiatives.
- Design and deliver short workshops and manager briefings on performance conversations, absence management and effective people management tools.
- Investigate sensitive employee relations cases, produce clear recommendations and manage follow-through with stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate HR records, produce management reports and HR metrics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline; advanced HR certification (e.g., CIPD) preferred.
- Solid knowledge of French employment law and statutory processes (contracts, dismissals, collective rules) if based in France.
- Demonstrable ability to advise senior and operational managers with tact, confidentiality and commercial awareness.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and conflict‑resolution capabilities.
- Fluent written and spoken French and English.
Skills
Experience
Typically 4–7 years of broad HR experience with at least 2 years providing direct advisory support to line managers in a fast-paced, customer-facing or retail environment; experience in luxury retail, fashion or a multinational environment is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field; professional HR certification (CIPD, SHRM or equivalent) preferred.
