Burberry Finance Analyst position in Seoul; FP&A reporting role managing sales, supply chain, and financial forecasts for global luxury retail.
Role & Responsibilities
- Run weekly sales reports process and distribute to senior management; coordinate sales reporting for quarterly trading statements ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Serve as super-user for the weekly sales tool (WSAAP) and maintain custodian control of data including footage, like-for-like status, and hierarchies
- Collaborate with IT to design, test, and implement system changes and improvements
- Perform month-end accounting for the centralized UK supply chain, including SAP journal posting and GL account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly supply chain income statements and analyze key financial drivers
- Calculate monthly supply chain gross margin information for Group Financial Reporting Team PURP calculations
- Prepare quarterly forecasts and budgets for the UK supply chain; develop forecast product margins and country statutory margins for regional finance teams
- Respond to significant ad hoc queries and analyses with effective prioritization and timely delivery
- Review capital investment proposals in collaboration with regional teams to ensure appropriate financial and commercial rigor before presentation to senior leadership
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, or equivalent) with minimum 3 years post-qualification experience
- Advanced Excel skills with demonstrated ability to build and work with complex financial models and large datasets
- Proven experience in Financial Reporting and Analysis or similar role within a large, listed, multinational company
- Strong knowledge and application of IFRS
- Experience analyzing gross margin for a global retail brand
- Proficiency in multicurrency environments and understanding of foreign exchange impact on reported results
- Proven track record of delivering process improvements
- Experience with BPC systems (advantageous)

Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience as a qualified accountant. Background in financial reporting, analysis, or related roles within large, listed multinational enterprises required. Demonstrated experience with gross margin analysis in global retail environments highly valued. Proficiency in multicurrency accounting and understanding of foreign exchange impacts on financial results essential.
Education
ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant), CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
