Leading luxury fashion house in Milan seeks an Engineering Technologist Assistant — Raw Material Management for technical materials and PLM/ERP coordination.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the raw material lifecycle: intake, specification, tracking and archival of fabrics, leathers and trims.
  • Maintain and update material records in PLM and ERP systems, ensuring BOMs and technical files are current and accurate.
  • Coordinate sampling and laboratory testing with suppliers and internal labs; record test results against specification sheets.
  • Assist sourcing and quality teams with supplier documentation, certificates of conformity and compliance evidence (e.g., material composition, traceability).
  • Perform incoming material inspections and generate non‑conformance reports; follow up corrective actions with suppliers and production.
  • Prepare technical dossiers for new materials and revisions, including cost, lead time and sustainability attributes.
  • Produce routine reports and dashboards on material consumption, stock status and spec deviations for the technical and sourcing teams.

Qualifications

  • Degree or technical diploma in textile engineering, materials science, industrial engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail with proven ability to interpret technical specifications and test reports.
  • Familiarity with material testing methods and quality control procedures applicable to textiles and leathers.
