Leading luxury fashion house in Milan seeks an Engineering Technologist Assistant — Raw Material Management for technical materials and PLM/ERP coordination.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the raw material lifecycle: intake, specification, tracking and archival of fabrics, leathers and trims.
- Maintain and update material records in PLM and ERP systems, ensuring BOMs and technical files are current and accurate.
- Coordinate sampling and laboratory testing with suppliers and internal labs; record test results against specification sheets.
- Assist sourcing and quality teams with supplier documentation, certificates of conformity and compliance evidence (e.g., material composition, traceability).
- Perform incoming material inspections and generate non‑conformance reports; follow up corrective actions with suppliers and production.
- Prepare technical dossiers for new materials and revisions, including cost, lead time and sustainability attributes.
- Produce routine reports and dashboards on material consumption, stock status and spec deviations for the technical and sourcing teams.
Qualifications
- Degree or technical diploma in textile engineering, materials science, industrial engineering or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail with proven ability to interpret technical specifications and test reports.
- Familiarity with material testing methods and quality control procedures applicable to textiles and leathers.
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple supplier interactions and document flows.

Experience
Typically 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in raw material management, textile or leather labs, technical sourcing or production support within apparel, luxury leather goods or a related manufacturing environment.
Education
Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in textile engineering, materials science, industrial engineering, or equivalent vocational qualification.
