Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute the global merchandising strategy for women's product lines, aligning assortment, price architecture and launch cadence with brand positioning and commercial targets.
- Own seasonal range plans, buy budgets and allocation across channels (flagship retail, wholesale, e‑commerce), ensuring optimal sell-through and inventory turn.
- Set and manage P&L targets for the women's category, driving margin, markdown mitigation and inventory health through rigorous financial forecasting.
- Collaborate with design, product development and production teams to translate creative direction into commercially viable collections and capsule launches.
- Lead vendor and supplier negotiations, liaise with sourcing and supply-chain teams to ensure delivery timelines, quality standards and cost efficiencies.
- Manage, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary merchandising team; establish KPIs, performance reviews and talent succession plans.
- Create and monitor merchandising KPIs and dashboards; present commercial performance and forward plans to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Coordinate commercial calendars, promotional strategies and wholesale merchandising guidelines to optimize channel mix and market penetration.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience at director or senior‑manager level within luxury fashion merchandising, ideally focused on women's apparel and/or accessories.
- Demonstrable track record of P&L ownership, assortment planning and inventory management in a multi‑channel retail environment.
- Exceptional commercial acumen with experience in pricing strategy, margin management and sell-through optimisation.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience working with international suppliers and cross-border production schedules.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership capabilities; experience building and scaling high-performing merchandising teams.
- Comfortable presenting to executive leadership and influencing across product, sales and operations functions.

Typically 8+ years in merchandising with progressive responsibility; minimum 5 years in senior merchandising roles within luxury or premium women's apparel, with proven experience managing P&L, global assortment and cross‑channel distribution.
Education
