Burberry is hiring a Department Manager at Citadel Outlets in Los Angeles to drive sales performance and lead a retail team in delivering the luxury brand experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead sales associates to improve selling skills and close sales to achieve sales goals and KPIs
- Drive sales for assigned categories in partnership with Store Manager on sell-through and team training
- Lead a customer-facing, service-oriented team and coach associates to deliver the full Burberry Experience aligned with brand strategies
- Manage customer flow to ensure optimal service delivery and prevent customers from remaining unattended
- Foster partnership and collaboration between sales associates, specialists, stock, and operations teams
- Provide real-time coaching and feedback following customer interactions and transactions to drive continuous improvement
- Support employee development and retention through recognition, reward programs, monthly development plans, and annual performance reviews
- Lead integration of new team members into the business
- Model exceptional customer service by delivering the Burberry Experience to customers when needed
- Own responsibility for Burberry Experience training within the store using morning and weekly meetings for reinforcement
- Resolve complex customer issues with professionalism and escalate to management when necessary
- Process post-void transactions, authorize promotional discounts, and manage employee sales in the absence of store management
- Drive the digital experience in-store and use digital resources for communication
- Maintain thorough understanding of business metrics and communicate strategic ideas for growth
- Ensure consistent adherence to company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
- Create and maintain an open, positive, and harmonious work environment
- Execute store opening and closing procedures including security, merchandise protection, alarm management, and POS procedures
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience in retail sales
- Advanced knowledge of POS systems
- Ability to handle complex customer service situations including dissatisfied customers, complaints, returns, repairs, and after-sales service
- Professional and fluent communication skills with clients and staff
- Experience with Apple mobile devices and comfort with digital tools
- Strong understanding of luxury retail and brand experience delivery

1–2 years of supervisory or management experience in a retail sales environment, ideally within the luxury sector or high-end department store setting.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in retail management, business administration, or hospitality is preferred but not required.
