Role & Responsibilities
- Lead sales associates to improve selling skills and close sales in order to achieve sales goals and KPIs
- Drive sales for an assigned category including partnering with the Store Manager on sell-through and team training
- Lead a high-performing, customer-facing and service-oriented team by providing coaching and feedback to ensure delivery of the full Burberry Experience in line with brand strategies
- Manage customer flow to ensure optimal service delivery and maintain consistent service excellence standards
- Drive partnership on the selling floor between sales associates, specialists, stock and operations teams
- Provide in-the-moment coaching after every transaction and client interaction to reinforce best practices
- Develop and retain talented employees by recognizing performance through monthly development plans and annual performance reviews
- Lead the integration of new joiners into the business
- Model the Burberry Experience through personal customer interactions when necessary
- Take ownership of Burberry Experience training within the store through role-play and reinforcement in morning and weekly meetings
- Resolve difficult customer issues and escalate to management when necessary
- Authorize promotional discounts, post-void transactions, and employee sales in the absence of store management
- Drive the digital experience in store and use digital resources for communication
- Maintain understanding of business performance and effectively communicate needs and ideas to drive growth
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines consistently
- Create and maintain an open, positive, and harmonious work environment
- Assist with store opening and closing procedures including securing merchandise and alarm systems
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of POS systems
- Ability to handle complex customer service issues including dissatisfied customers, complaints, returns, repairs and after-sales inquiries
- Fluent and professional dialogue with clients and staff
- Previous experience with Apple mobile devices and comfort using digital tools
- 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience in retail sales
