Department Manager position at Burberry in Dawsonville, Georgia. Lead retail sales team and drive category performance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead sales associates to improve selling skills and achieve sales goals and KPIs
- Drive sales for assigned category including partnering with Store Manager on sell-through and team training
- Lead a high-performing, customer-facing and service-oriented team while coaching associates to deliver the Burberry Experience in line with brand strategies
- Manage customer flow to ensure excellent service and that no client is left unattended
- Drive partnership on the selling floor between sales associates, specialists, stock and operations teams
- Provide in-the-moment and post-transaction coaching to associates, discussing successes and opportunities
- Develop and retain talented employees through monthly development plans and annual performance reviews
- Lead integration of new team members to the business
- Deliver the Burberry Experience to customers by example
- Partner with Store Manager and Training to own Burberry Experience training within the store
- Resolve difficult customer issues and escalate to management when necessary
- In the absence of store management, authorize promotional discounts and employee sales
- Drive digital experience in store and use digital resources for communication
- Maintain thorough understanding of company policies and procedures and consistently enforce guidelines
- Create and maintain an open, positive and harmonious work environment
- Assist with store opening and closing procedures including securing merchandise, alarming systems, and POS procedures
Qualifications
- 1–2 years previous supervisory or management experience in retail sales
- Advanced knowledge of POS systems
- Ability to handle complex customer service issues including dissatisfied customers, complaints, returns, repairs and after-sales
- Fluent and professional dialogue with clients and staff
- Previous experience with Apple mobile devices and comfort with digital tools
