Burberry is hiring Delivery Managers to guide day-to-day technology initiative delivery within product squads, coordinating work from planning through release and managing dependencies, risks and realistic commitments. The role partners with product, engineering and delivery colleagues to support informed decisions and effective governance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day squad delivery, moving work predictably from backlog through release in line with sprint and quarterly commitments.
- Manage cross-team handovers and dependencies, establish clear ownership, and resolve obstacles with product, engineering, architecture, data and platform colleagues.
- Maintain an accurate RAID log, address risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies early, and escalate matters requiring senior input.
- Report clearly on delivery progress, finances and resource capacity to support planning and governance.
- Track third-party delivery against agreed quality, timelines and ways of working, addressing performance concerns constructively.
- Work with product and delivery leaders to evaluate estimates, plan capacity, and deliver product, platform and technical improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience in delivery management, technical delivery or product-focused project management within a digital technology environment.
- Practical understanding of engineering and product delivery, with the ability to examine estimates, assumptions and proposed approaches.
- Good knowledge of agile delivery methods, particularly Scrum, and experience working across several teams or interconnected workstreams.
- Experience managing risks, dependencies, capacity and third-party delivery across permanent, contractor and partner resources.
- Clear, considered communication skills, including the ability to provide concise, transparent updates and work effectively with stakeholders at different levels.
- Sound judgement and a collaborative approach; experience in retail, luxury or consumer goods is welcomed but not essential.
