Role & Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a broad range of commercial contracts, including e-commerce, software/SaaS, marketing, distribution, franchise, licensing, warehousing, logistics and vendor agreements.
  • Provide day-to-day commercial legal advice to internal stakeholders across procurement, supply chain and partner relationships to manage and reduce legal risk.
  • Support data protection and compliance-related matters and liaise with business teams to embed good governance and operationally pragmatic solutions.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and deliver commercially-focused legal guidance tailored to business objectives.
  • Manage multiple matters autonomously, prioritising tasks and escalating complex issues appropriately.

Qualifications

  • Qualified in English law (Solicitor or equivalent).
  • Approximately 1–4 years PQE (indicative) with experience gained at a reputable law firm or within an in‑house legal team.
  • Demonstrable experience in commercial contracting, including digital/e‑commerce, SaaS, licensing and distribution arrangements.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to operate with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptable, commercially minded and willing to develop new practice areas as required.
