Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end commercial procurement for architecture and visual merchandising (VM) projects, including site fit-outs, fixtures, displays and bespoke installations.
- Develop and execute category strategies, supplier sourcing and tender processes (RFP/RFQ) to secure competitive pricing, quality and delivery for CAPEX and OPEX spend.
- Negotiate commercial terms, master agreements and project-specific contracts; manage legal, warranty and insurance provisions in collaboration with legal counsel.
- Manage supplier selection, onboarding and performance: KPIs, SLAs, scorecards, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Own budget control and cost modelling for store projects and VM programmes; provide monthly forecasts, variance analysis and procurement savings reporting.
- Collaborate closely with Architecture, Visual Merchandising, Store Operations and Project Management teams to align procurement plans with design intent and retail timelines.
- Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies, ethical sourcing standards and sustainability requirements across the supplier base.
- Mitigate commercial and delivery risks through proactive contingency planning, contract clauses and supplier diversification.
- Drive process optimisation across purchase-to-pay workflows, tender governance and supplier invoice reconciliation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Architecture, Engineering or related discipline; master’s degree preferred.
- Professional procurement qualification (e.g., CIPS) or equivalent commercial certification is advantageous.
- Proven expertise in procurement for store construction, fit-outs or visual merchandising within retail or luxury sectors.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable experience negotiating complex contracts and managing CAPEX projects.
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrix organisation and influence senior stakeholders across design and operations.

Experience
Minimum 5 years of progressive procurement experience, with at least 3 years focused on commercial procurement for architecture, store fit-outs or visual merchandising in retail or luxury environments. Demonstrated track record managing multi-market suppliers and CAPEX projects.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Architecture, Engineering or related field; Master's degree or professional procurement qualification preferred.
