Burberry seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Aventura, Florida to lead sales teams, drive performance, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise sales associates to enhance selling skills and drive sales goal attainment aligned with KPIs
  • Drive category performance and sell-through metrics in assigned product categories, partnering with the Store Manager on team training and execution
  • Lead a high-performing, customer-facing team and coach associates in real-time to deliver the full Burberry Experience in accordance with brand strategies
  • Manage customer flow and pace on the selling floor to ensure optimal service delivery and prevent clients from being left unattended
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration between sales associates, specialists, stock, and operations teams on the selling floor
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members following each transaction and customer interaction, discussing successes and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager on talent development and retention, recognizing performance through monthly development plans and annual reviews
  • Oversee the onboarding and integration of new team members into store operations
  • Model and exemplify the Burberry Experience through personal customer interactions and engagement
  • Take ownership of in-store Burberry Experience training in partnership with the Store Manager and Training, utilizing morning and weekly meetings to reinforce key elements through role-play and peer mentoring
  • Resolve complex customer issues and escalate to management when necessary, including handling dissatisfied customers, complaints, returns, repairs, and after-sales inquiries
  • Process post-void transactions, authorize promotional discounts, and process employee sales in the absence of store management
  • Drive the integration of digital experiences and resources in-store, leveraging digital tools for communication when face-to-face interaction is not feasible
  • Communicate business needs and strategic ideas to support continuous improvement and drive retail performance
  • Ensure comprehensive understanding and enforcement of company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
  • Cultivate an open, positive, and harmonious work environment
  • Assist with opening and closing store procedures, including securing merchandise and doors, activating security systems, and executing POS protocols
  • Execute additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency with POS systems
  • Proven ability to handle complex customer service scenarios including dissatisfied customers, complaints, returns, repairs, and after-sales service
  • Fluent and professional communication skills with customers and team members
  • Experience with Apple mobile devices and comfort with digital tools and systems
  • 1–2 years of prior supervisory or management experience in retail sales
  • Strong knowledge of retail operations and sales processes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead high-performing teams
