Burberry seeks an Assistant Merchandiser - Outlets in London to support outlet merchandising, trade analysis and PLM/SAP administration.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support weekly trade meetings through analysis of sales, stock and sell-through; prepare summaries identifying risks, opportunities and recommended actions.
- Assist in building and maintaining the seasonal outlet range plan and productive product assortments aligned to outlet strategy.
- Perform category- and product-level analysis to inform range planning, regional selection and seasonal buys.
- Set up, maintain and reconcile key merchandising files, trackers and seasonal market documents to ensure system accuracy for trade.
- Manage PLM/Kubix and SAP data entry, ensuring product details, options and pricing are accurately configured and live for trade.
- Coordinate with Digital and 3D teams to ensure timely setup and accurate management of product imagery and digital assets.
- Coordinate sample orders, tracking and organisation to support outlet events and commercial activities.
- Monitor competitor market and pricing; prepare competitor analysis to support commercial decision-making.
- Support market/product training administration for merchandising and regional teams and prepare seasonal hindsight/sales analysis.
- Liaise regularly with sourcing, design, product development and planning to influence delivery of the category strategy.
- Provide ad hoc merchandising administration to ensure the smooth running of the outlet merchandising team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in merchandising, ideally within luxury fashion or outlet retail.
- Strong retail mathematics and commercial awareness, with understanding of product cost and margin trade-offs.
- Excellent attention to detail, diligence and analytical rigour in handling sales and stock data.
- Effective communicator with negotiation credibility and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and practical experience with PLM and SAP systems.
Skills
Experience
At least 1–3 years of merchandising experience, preferably within luxury fashion or outlet retail, with demonstrable analytical and commercial capability.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Merchandising, Business, Economics or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience in retail merchandising.
