Confidential luxury fashion house — Art Director (contract) in Paris. Lead visual strategy and campaign art direction for seasonal collections.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute the visual strategy for seasonal campaigns, lookbooks, digital content and editorial shoots, ensuring strict alignment with the brand’s aesthetic and positioning.
- Lead creative briefs and art-direction for photography, styling and motion shoots; select photographers, stylists, locations and production partners and oversee on-set execution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, marketing, e‑commerce and product teams to translate creative concepts into cohesive multi-channel assets.
- Manage the creative workflow including moodboards, storyboards, shot lists, retouching notes and final deliverables while enforcing quality, brand consistency and timelines.
- Mentor and supervise junior creatives, designers and external agencies; provide decisive creative feedback and uphold high standards of craft.
- Oversee pre-press and production specifications for print and packaging; approve final files and sign off on vendor executions.
Qualifications
- Compelling portfolio demonstrating campaign-level art direction for luxury fashion, beauty or high-end lifestyle brands.
- Native or fluent French and professional command of English to operate in an international, Paris-based environment.
- Proven ability to lead creative teams and manage external production vendors on high-budget shoots.
- Excellent visual literacy, strong typographic sensibility and practical knowledge of print and digital production processes.
Skills
Experience
Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in art direction, with demonstrable campaign work for luxury fashion, beauty or premium lifestyle brands; agency experience or in-house creative leadership preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts or equivalent professional experience.
