Burberry seeks an Accounts Receivable Coordinator in Leeds to manage payment allocation, remittance and SAP-based AR reporting for its global finance operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute daily payment allocation and ensure timely, accurate matching of cash receipts in SAP or equivalent ERP.
  • Retrieve, organise and reconcile customer remittance advices to support cash application and reduce unallocated cash.
  • Prepare and maintain Excel-based AR reporting, including unallocated cash, ageing analyses, customer statements and chargeback summaries.
  • Investigate and document chargeback deductions, supporting dispute resolution to limit overdue debt and bad-debt exposure.
  • Respond to ad hoc reporting and administrative requests, prioritising deliverables and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Maintain audit-ready records, documentation and reconciliations for AR processes and period-end activities.
  • Collaborate with Credit Control, Cash Office, RTR, concession and wholesale partners to gather information and accelerate issue resolution.
  • Support compliance with Group policies and internal controls over financial reporting and document retention.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an administrative, accounting or finance support role preferred.
  • Practical experience with SAP or another ERP system is desirable.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (see required functions).
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational discipline and ability to manage competing priorities independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting information to finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Experience

Previous hands-on experience in accounts receivable, finance operations or finance administration is preferred; 1–3 years' experience in AR or related finance support roles is a credible expectation. Experience within luxury retail, concession or wholesale environments is advantageous.

Education

A-levels, vocational diploma or degree; a qualification in accounting/finance (eg. AAT or part-qualification within ACCA/CIMA) is desirable but not mandatory.
