Role & Responsibilities
- Validate supplier invoices and ensure accurate revenue/cost recognition prior to processing.
- Manage invoice exceptions and drive timely resolution through internal workflow tools.
- Match and process invoices against 2‑ and 3‑way purchase orders with precision.
- Process non‑PO supplier invoices in accordance with agreed timelines and controls.
- Verify payment status and provide clear, timely updates to internal stakeholders.
- Liaise with suppliers and cross‑functional teams to resolve queries and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of accounts payable processes and controls to support reliable business operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working within accounts payable or finance operations.
- Strong numeric accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communicator with the ability to build collaborative internal and external relationships.
- Organised and able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; confident with Outlook and Word.
- Familiarity with SAP is advantageous but not mandatory.
Skills
Experience
Previous experience working in accounts payable or a finance operations function; familiarity with supplier invoice workflows and reconciliation processes. Practical exposure to SAP is advantageous. (Typically 1–3 years in an AP role is expected for similar positions.)
Education
A‑level(s) or equivalent; a bookkeeping or part‑qualified accounting credential (e.g., AAT, ACCA/CIMA studies) is desirable but not essential.
