Burberry London — Account Executive (Maternity Cover). Temporary wholesale role managing key accounts, merchandising and in‑season business development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Sell and develop wholesale business across Women’s, Men’s, Children and Non-Apparel categories in line with Global Buy and Key Merchandising Strategy.
- Prepare customer budgets, produce forecasts and provide regular market result updates to the Senior Account Manager.
- Support and conduct market selling activities, present seasonal collections and secure qualitative and quantitative orders.
- Manage post-market activities with Customer Operations, deliver final season sales analysis and monitor sell-through.
- Review outstanding units, cancellations and retiming reports; decide substitutions and manage client returns and stock swaps where applicable.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key wholesale customers, visiting accounts to review sales performance, merchandising and VM standards.
- Drive in‑season sales growth, identify and develop new customer opportunities and facilitate marketing, selling contests and VM initiatives.
- Liaise closely with Corporate Merchandising to communicate market trends, product performance and design feedback.
- Train seasonal showroom staff and coach customers on brand, product knowledge and commercial best practice.
- Line manage the Account Executive and temporary showroom staff.
Qualifications
- Fluent English; additional market language advantageous depending on territory handled.
- Proven track record managing key wholesale accounts within a luxury or premium fashion environment.
- Demonstrable experience in forecasting, budget management and sales analysis.
- Proven people management and coaching experience.
- High level of commercial acumen, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel frequently for market visits and trade events.

Experience
Proven experience managing wholesale or key accounts within luxury fashion or a closely related retail environment, with demonstrable success in meeting sales targets, developing client partnerships and leading small teams or showroom staff.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion, Marketing or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent commercial experience in wholesale or retail.
