Bulgari seeks a Store Director in Washington D.C. to lead the City Center boutique, drive sales and manage a high‑performing luxury retail team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the Washington D.C. boutique to achieve quantitative and qualitative targets, closely monitoring and adapting store KPIs and budgets.
- Define and deploy annual store strategies (updated quarterly) in alignment with the RVP of Retail East and cross‑functional partners.
- Develop and execute business plans in collaboration with merchandising, retail operations and corporate teams to optimise category performance and inventory.
- Coach, motivate and develop direct reports, implementing performance reviews, succession planning and professional development to prepare talent for advancement.
- Own hiring decisions in partnership with Talent Acquisition, ensure adherence to grooming, conduct and brand standards, and manage scheduling, payroll and staffing contingencies.
- Ensure operational excellence by spending the majority of time on the sales floor, enforcing visual merchandising guidelines, loss prevention procedures and retail best practices.
- Use CRM and reporting tools to convert transactional interactions into long-term client relationships and to inform market-centric commercial initiatives.
- Build and maintain external stakeholder relationships with mall management, local marketing partners and community contacts to activate collaborations and drive traffic.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in luxury retail or with high-value luxury products; demonstrable record of achieving sales targets.
- Proven senior managerial experience with strong people leadership, talent development and performance management capabilities.
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, able to translate data into pragmatic action plans.
- Deep product knowledge at a merchant level and a strong awareness of local luxury, marketing and media landscapes.
- Flexibility to work retail hours including weekdays, weekends and holidays; ability to prioritise time on the sales floor.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and demonstrable ability to learn and use store operation software and CRM platforms.

Experience
Minimum 10 years in luxury retail or dealing with luxury items, including significant people leadership responsibility and a strong track record of driving sales and operational results.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, luxury retail, hospitality or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent demonstrable experience in luxury retail management.
