Bulgari seeks a Store Director in San Diego to lead its new boutique — competitive compensation $150,000–$160,000, full-time at Bulgari San Diego.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the boutique to achieve and exceed sales budgets and KPIs through hands-on leadership, performance monitoring and tactical adjustments.
- Develop annual store strategies, update them quarterly and align commercial plans with the Regional VP of Retail.
- Build and execute cross-functional business plans with merchandising, marketing and corporate partners to maximise category performance.
- Drive talent management: recruit aligned candidates, manage hiring decisions, conduct performance reviews and implement development plans for direct reports.
- Coach and mentor the sales team to elevate individual performance and readiness for advancement; foster a feedback-driven, inclusive culture.
- Own store operational excellence: ensure Visual Merchandising standards, adherence to retail procedures, inventory control and loss-prevention measures.
- Maintain strong clienteling practices and implement a client development strategy to convert casual shoppers into long-term customers.
- Cultivate market intelligence by monitoring luxury jewellery and watches trends, competitor activity, and local marketing opportunities; develop local partnerships (e.g., mall management).
- Manage workforce planning and payroll integrity, ensuring scheduling complies with policy and labour regulations; maintain contingency staffing plans.
- Spend a minimum of 70% of time on the sales floor to maintain store visibility while balancing administrative responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Minimum ten years' experience in luxury retail or dealing with luxury products, with demonstrated success in store leadership.
- Proven managerial capability with a track record of recruiting, developing and retaining high-performing, diverse teams.
- Demonstrable commercial acumen: experience managing budgets, P&L awareness and driving KPI improvements.
- Strong knowledge of luxury jewellery and watch categories at merchant level and familiarity with local marketing/media landscapes.
- Flexible availability for retail hours including weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Minimum 10 years in luxury retail or with luxury product categories, including substantial experience in store leadership, team development and commercial management.
Education
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
