Bulgari seeks Senior Business Analyst and Controlling professional in Rome, Italy. Lead financial planning, analysis, and executive reporting for luxury watchmaking and jewelry firm.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, periodic revisions, and three-year plan projections, ensuring robustness and consistency of financial and business assumptions
  • Coordinate collection, validation, and consolidation of financial and operational inputs across commercial, functional, and finance stakeholders
  • Analyze business performance across P&L components, evaluating interactions between sales development, margins, investments, operating expenditure, and profitability
  • Prepare monthly performance reporting highlighting material deviations versus budget, forecast, and prior year with clear explanation of business drivers
  • Develop forward-looking financial scenarios and analysis to anticipate performance developments and evaluate associated risks and opportunities
  • Identify relevant trends, emerging performance gaps, and value creation opportunities, translating findings into practical management recommendations
  • Serve as senior finance business partner to regional commercial managers, functional leaders, and senior executives, supporting business reviews and strategic decisions
  • Prepare high-quality executive reports and presentations that structure complex financial information into clear messages and focused recommendations
  • Present business performance analysis to senior management and executive committee members with clarity, confidence, and appropriate synthesis
  • Develop ad hoc analysis and business cases related to strategic initiatives, investments, profitability improvements, and organizational priorities
  • Review advertising, promotion, and investment expenditure, assessing budget evolution and financial impact against expected business outcomes
  • Contribute to month-end closing activities and ensure completeness, consistency, and timely availability of financial information in coordination with accounting teams
  • Oversee accuracy of controlling dimensions and reporting structures to enable reliable analysis across markets, channels, products, and organizational areas
  • Drive continuous improvement of planning, reporting, and performance management methodologies to enhance analytical quality and decision support

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in controlling, financial planning and analysis, business performance management, or commercial finance within a structured international environment
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, monthly closing, management reporting, and P&L analysis
  • Solid understanding of financial and operational factors influencing sales, margins, expenditure, investments, and profitability
  • Proven experience developing financial scenarios, management insights, and evidence-based recommendations from complex business information
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and present executive-level analysis to senior management or comparable governance bodies
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken; additional languages considered advantageous

Compensation

The base compensation for this position is EUR 45,000 per annum.
