Bvlgari seeks a Prototype and Tooling Machinist for its Methods & Industrialisation team at its movement and high-watchmaking manufacture in Le Sentier. This permanent, full-time, on-site role produces tooling for machining, finishing and assembly, and includes CAM programming, CNC and conventional machining, tool validation, workshop maintenance, continuous improvement and apprentice training.
Role & Responsibilities
- Participate in tooling design reviews.
- Program parts for machining using CAM software.
- Produce tooling on conventional and CNC machines, including 3-axis and 5-axis equipment.
- Assemble and fine-tune tools through validation for production.
- Plan and meet communicated tooling delivery deadlines.
- Perform preventive maintenance on workshop equipment.
- Contribute actively to continuous improvement.
- Provide technical training to an apprentice.
Qualifications
- Hold a Swiss Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) in micromechanics or an equivalent qualification.
- Be an excellent communicator and facilitator, attentive to other departments’ needs and constraints, with the interpersonal skills to build relationships and synergies.
- Be open-minded and considerate, work autonomously, and have a customer-oriented approach.
- Have a successful prior experience in a similar role, ideally in a manufacturing industry.
- Previous experience training an apprentice is an asset.
