Bulgari seeks Privacy Counsel for Greater China operations in Shanghai. Lead data protection compliance, PIPL regulations, and cybersecurity initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct privacy feasibility assessments and leading Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA), tracking remediation actions
- Draft, review, and revise data protection policies, procedures, data processing agreements, and privacy notices; support regional rollout of data protection initiatives
- Assist in delivering privacy compliance training to business units across the organization
- Monitor compliance with PIPL and relevant data protection laws; support compliance audits and drive issue remediation
- Track regulatory developments in personal information protection, cybersecurity, data security, and AI laws; prepare legal analysis and report findings to senior management and committee meetings
- Serve as a contact point for data subjects regarding personal data processing and rights exercise
- Manage data breaches in coordination with IT Security, implement remediation actions, coordinate notifications, and maintain Records of Processing Activities (ROPA)
- Coordinate with functional teams across Greater China (IT, Marketing, HR, Retail, Digital, CRM) on data protection matters
Qualifications
- University law degree with 3+ years of specialization in data protection and privacy, or compliance professional background with 3+ years of data privacy experience, or in-house legal counsel with 1–3+ years in digital/data/privacy affairs
- Solid legal skills including research, documentation drafting, and review experience
- Fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written)
- CIPP/CN, CIPP/E, or CIPM certification (preferred, not mandatory)
- Experience working with CRM and IT systems; basic knowledge of data flows and AI applications

Education
Bachelor's degree in law or equivalent legal qualification; advanced degree or specialized legal education preferred
