Bvlgari is seeking a Methods and Industrialization Engineer for its Assembly Manufacture in Neuchâtel to lead product industrialization, optimize bracelet-production processes and improve workshop performance. The role is permanent and full-time, with hybrid work possible subject to eligibility.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical reference for manufacturing processes, strengthening methods, resolving shop-floor issues and driving continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Identify innovative technological solutions and develop suitable industrial resources in close coordination with Production and Automation.
  • Coordinate and lead industrialization projects for new bracelets and watches, ensuring delivery to schedule, cost and quality requirements.
  • Standardize processes in collaboration with production departments.
  • Prepare industrial and tooling plans and manage tooling procurement.
  • Oversee bracelet-manufacturing disciplines, including polishing, machining, welding and assembly, while addressing material properties and deformation to ensure industrial feasibility and product conformity.
  • Contribute to prototyping, process development and technical documentation for new products.
  • Contribute to root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead continuous improvement across production processes and operations.
  • Define effective manufacturing and assembly processes and optimize existing operations, including cycle times, workstation ergonomics and tooling.
  • Promote Lean Manufacturing practices across production workshops by leading improvement projects.
  • Monitor technology developments and manage the integration of new processes.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality and repeatability.
  • Act as the liaison between the workshop and Automation teams to develop special-purpose machines for bracelet manufacturing and watch assembly.
  • Document shop-floor requirements and prepare specifications for the most suitable technical solutions.
  • Monitor development, testing and implementation of new production equipment.
  • Identify suitable production equipment and manage its acquisition through benchmarking, trials and ROI calculations.
  • Lead the installation of new machines in the workshops with General Services.
  • Ensure infrastructure is compatible with new machines and that their layout is compliant and optimized for production flow.
  • Oversee equipment commissioning, qualification and integration.

Qualifications

  • Higher education as a technician or engineer.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a production environment.
  • Strong experience in methods and industrialization, continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, with practical experience applying them in a workshop.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office; knowledge of SAP and drafting with CREO or equivalent tools.
  • Strong synthesis and analytical abilities to manage complex cross-functional projects.
  • Results-oriented, proactive in proposing solutions to meet objectives and consistently generating improvement ideas.
  • Recognized for autonomy and rigour, with the tenacity to deliver assigned responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and flexibility, with diplomacy and a strong ability to explain and guide.
  • Strong team orientation and consideration for other departments’ needs and constraints.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships and synergies.
