Istituto dei Mestieri d'Eccellenza LVMH in Florence seeks Leather Goods Apprentice. 12 positions — 900‑hour programme with internships at LVMH Maisons.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Follow an integrated 900‑hour training programme combining classroom/lab instruction and on‑site internships in a Maison partner.
  • Learn and apply techniques for prototype construction and the artisanal manufacture of leather goods, including pattern reading, cutting, skiving and assembly.
  • Collaborate with model making, leather selection and cutting teams to produce samples that meet Maison quality standards.
  • Participate in masterclasses, didactic visits and brand‑focused meetings to understand luxury product standards and terminology.
  • Maintain rigorous workmanship, adhere to health & safety and atelier procedures, and accept feedback from tutors and Maison supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age 18.
  • Resident or domiciled in a municipality of the Tuscany Region.
  • Lower‑secondary school diploma (licenza media) or successful completion of compulsory education; candidates with only primary education must demonstrate three years of verified sector experience (DGR 532/2009).
  • Non‑EU applicants must possess a valid residence permit that authorises work.
  • Demonstrable manual dexterity, patience, precision and strong attention to detail.
