Bulgari seeks a Jewellery Quality Control Specialist in Dublin for maternity cover – premium luxury jewellery QC role with training in Italy.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with defined quality standards for finished products and coordinate Quality Control inspections for internal production
  • Communicate regularly with the Quality Control team in Italy to maintain quality alignment and consistency
  • Support the management of reported quality issues from the Quality Control team in Italy and implement corrective actions
  • Work closely with the polishing team to communicate production requirements and provide detailed feedback on finished pieces
  • Manage workload priorities in accordance with supply planning requirements and operational demands
  • Ensure Quality Control reports and information are registered timely and accurately in systems to support relevant business reporting
  • Revise and continuously improve Quality Control processes and supervise their consistent application
  • Provide feedback on Quality Control results against established quality standards and contribute to the continuous evolution of the Quality System
  • Define and implement metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of Quality Control processes, proposing corrective actions to improve conformity rates
  • Ensure and foster the definition and continuous improvement of Bulgari product quality to maintain their prestigious market position
  • Cooperate with other departments on continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects
  • Support business events and facility tours to showcase the quality department and provide expert quality consultation as required
  • Support annual refresher training programmes both in Italy and Dublin

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Quality within the jewellery industry
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience managing jewellery in a workshop environment
  • Demonstrated expertise with raw materials, semi-finished and finished products across assigned product categories
  • In-depth knowledge of precious metals including gold and platinum
  • Strong gemstone and diamond knowledge
  • Proficiency with jewellery inspection tools including loupe, mandrels, and calipers
  • Comprehensive understanding of production processes including goldsmith techniques, polishing, casting, soldering, stone setting, plating, and hallmarking
  • Solid knowledge of quality control standards specific to the jewellery industry
  • Understanding of Quality Management principles and procedures
  • Competence in incoming and in-process quality control techniques
  • Exceptional attention to detail in all work undertaken

Education

Relevant qualifications in quality management, gemology, jewellery manufacturing, or an equivalent technical discipline are beneficial; however, extensive practical industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal certification.
