Bulgari — Dublin: Jewellery Quality Control Specialist (temporary, maternity cover). On‑site role ensuring QC for jewellery; training includes 2–3 months in Italy.
Role & Responsibilities
- Implement and oversee quality controls on finished products, components and repair processes in line with Bulgari quality specifications.
- Coordinate and conduct incoming and in‑process inspections for internal production and external repair activity.
- Liaise closely with the Quality Control team in Italy to ensure alignment of standards and to manage reported quality issues.
- Work with polishing and production teams to communicate non‑conformities and required production adjustments.
- Maintain accurate and timely Quality Control records and reports within company systems to support reporting and metrics.
- Define, monitor and report KPIs and metrics to measure QC effectiveness; propose and implement corrective actions to improve conformity rates.
- Review and continuously improve QC processes and supervise their application across the workshop.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional departments on continuous improvement initiatives and support business events and tours as an expert advisor.
- Support and deliver annual refresher training sessions in Italy and Dublin.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in quality roles within the jewellery industry.
- Minimum 5 years' hands‑on experience managing jewellery in a workshop/manufacturing environment.
- Proven knowledge of precious metals (gold, platinum) and experience with raw, semi‑finished and finished jewellery items.
- Solid gemstone and diamond knowledge.
- Practical mastery of production techniques: goldsmithing, polishing, casting, soldering, stone setting, plating and hallmarking.
- Experienced with jewellery inspection tools such as loupe, mandrels and calipers.
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and Quality Management principles and procedures.
- Ability to perform incoming and in‑process quality control techniques with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to collaborate with international teams.
- Willingness and availability to undertake 2–3 months' training in Italy with the central Quality Control team.
Skills
Experience
At least 3 years of quality experience within the jewellery industry and a minimum of 5 years' hands‑on workshop experience managing jewellery production; candidates must be available for 2–3 months' training in Italy.
Education
Vocational qualification or diploma in jewellery making, metallurgy, gemmology or an equivalent combination of formal training and substantial hands‑on workshop experience.
