Bulgari, Dublin: Jewellery Polisher – permanent full-time role performing precision polishing on luxury jewellery with precious metals and gemstones.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform polishing operations following technical documentation, working cycles, and established procedures with adherence to high quality standards
- Utilize specialized technical and manual tools for polishing phases, demonstrating expertise with gemstones, diamonds, gold, silver, platinum, stainless steel, and alternative materials
- Operate supporting machinery including polishing machines, ultrasonic washing systems, rhodium plating equipment, laser welders, and laser engraving tools
- Conduct self-quality control assessments in accordance with internal quality control procedures
- Meet assigned productivity targets encompassing quantity, lead times, and quality standards while demonstrating adaptability to evolving business requirements
- Manage waste materials according to procedures to optimize precious material recovery
- Implement Lean principles and 5S methodologies to maintain and improve workplace organization
- Comply with health and safety regulations and security procedures
- Maintain inventory records and support related activities
- Contribute to business projects focused on rework activities
- Participate in company training programs
- Support international travel requirements of approximately 10% annually
Qualifications
- Beginner-level goldsmith experience or equivalent training
- Knowledge of product technical specifications and handling techniques specific to goldsmithing and polishing
- Understanding of material chemical properties and their application to polishing phases
- Familiarity with safety processes and relevant legislation
- Knowledge of international guidelines, procedures, and regulations including RJC and CoC standards
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and WMS systems
- Third-level education (tertiary qualification)
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in jewellery polishing, goldsmithing, or related precious metal finishing disciplines, with proven expertise in polishing techniques and quality control procedures.
Education
Third-level education (tertiary qualification) required.
