Bulgari Heritage Archive Manager in Rome, Italy: oversee 140+ years of jewelry and watchmaking heritage preservation, archival digitization, and historical research.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee archival processing including inventory, reclassification, and ISAD-G-compliant finding aids preparation
  • Coordinate external service providers and provide methodological guidance on archival activities
  • Support departments in establishing document management practices, retention schedules, and archiving best practices training
  • Manage transfers of archival materials and lead implementation of electronic archiving systems for born-digital records
  • Lead IT solutions implementation for physical and remote archive management, including needs assessment, tendering, and supplier evaluation
  • Coordinate archival projects and change management activities aligned with business and partner requirements
  • Plan, monitor, and quality-control digitization campaigns including image transfer and indexing
  • Explore and promote artificial intelligence applications in archive management and heritage collections analysis
  • Coordinate oral history collection campaigns from interviewee selection through deliverables quality control
  • Conduct historical research to support internal requests and external researchers
  • Contribute to heritage promotion and valorization through exhibition and publication content
  • Present archives to internal and external audiences

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent in archival studies, documentation, information science, or related field
  • Knowledge of archival standards including ISAD-G and ISAAR
  • Knowledge of IT solutions for records management
  • Strong organizational and methodological skills
  • Analytical capability and teamwork orientation
  • Interest in jewelry, watchmaking, and the luxury industry is advantageous

Compensation

The base compensation for this position is EUR 65,000 per annum.
