Role & Responsibilities

  • Optimize stock management across the Japan retail network to maintain high product availability while minimising excess inventory.
  • Continuously review and update replenishment parameters by store and product to maximise sell‑through and profitability.
  • Manage seasonal product launches to ensure rapid, efficient sell‑through within short launch windows.
  • Monitor store stock coverage and implement distribution strategies for end‑of‑life (EOL) merchandise in coordination with Merchandising.
  • Lead and coordinate local rebalancing processes; organise and monitor transfers at both local and global levels and communicate shipping needs to Logistics.
  • Analyse operational processes and propose improvements to reduce lead times and increase efficiency across B2B and B2C distribution flows.
  • Produce ad‑hoc analysis and regular reporting to support decision‑making and measure transfer/rebalancing efficiency.
  • Actively participate in supply‑chain projects, including the Japan SAP S/4HANA go‑live and other process optimisation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • University degree in business, finance, accounting or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years' professional experience, including at least 2 years in a distribution/planning or supply‑chain role within retail or FMCG.
  • Proven experience working across functions and with multiple levels of organisation.
  • Advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience is welcomed.
  • Fluency in Japanese (verbal and written) and business‑level English for regular stakeholder communication.
  • Solid SAP user knowledge with extensive day‑to‑day experience; prior involvement in SAP projects (including S/4HANA) is an advantage.
