Bulgari seeks a Director of Retail Operations, East in New York: lead boutique operations, audits, inventory and store openings (hybrid).
Role & Responsibilities
- Define, implement and continuously refine regional operational policies, procedures and SOPs to ensure alignment with Bulgari global directives and LVMH governance.
- Lead region-wide compliance and audit programs, conduct regular in-boutique operational and inventory audits, and drive corrective actions based on data-driven findings.
- Manage boutique controllable expenses and budgets; analyze financial performance to identify trends, optimize spend and enforce rigorous cash, credit and transactional controls.
- Oversee inventory management strategy, cycle counts and discrepancy investigations to minimise shrink and maximise stock accuracy and product availability.
- Design and deliver onboarding, training and continuous education programs for operations teams, and partner with Boutique Directors on talent selection, performance management and succession planning.
- Collaborate with Asset Protection and internal control to develop and implement risk mitigation and physical security protocols, and lead security audits and incident response improvements.
- Champion process optimisation through KPI analysis and cross-functional initiatives; lead system rollouts and provide operational support for new boutique openings, relocations and renovations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive retail operations experience, with multi-unit responsibility within the luxury retail sector.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing operational policies, training programs and governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated expertise in inventory control, auditing, asset protection and financial stewardship in a high-value retail environment.
- Experience leading new store openings, relocations or boutique renovations.
- Strong leadership and people-development skills with experience mentoring high-performing operations teams.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities; comfortable turning operational data and KPIs into strategic actions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder-management and presentation skills; ability to influence cross-functional partners at all levels.
- Proficiency in retail management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

At least 10 years of progressive retail operations leadership, including multi-unit responsibility within the luxury sector and direct involvement in store openings and operational governance.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, Finance or a related field preferred.
