Bulgari — Director of Asset Protection in New York (hybrid). Lead North America asset protection, investigations and security strategy for boutiques and corporate.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the North America asset protection strategy to achieve regional shrink and risk-management targets across boutiques and corporate locations.
- Lead, direct and resolve complex internal and external investigations into theft, fraud, and policy violations, ensuring appropriate disciplinary or legal action.
- Design and deliver comprehensive security, safety and awareness programs for employees; champion ongoing training in partnership with Retail Operations, HR and Internal Control.
- Oversee security planning and operational safety for regional brand events, including high-jewelry and VIP client experiences.
- Manage vendor selection, bidding, contract negotiation and performance for security services, equipment and technology solutions.
- Coordinate with IT Security and facilities on system access control, CCTV operations, and compliance with international technical standards.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with local, regional and national law enforcement and external stakeholders.
- Support new store openings and refurbishment projects from a security and risk perspective.
- Recruit, mentor and manage an Asset Protection Analyst and any regional AP resources; establish clear KPIs and reporting cadence.
- Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on losses, recoveries, policy exceptions and program effectiveness; implement processes for escalation of critical issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of progressive asset protection, security or loss-prevention experience, with a significant portion in luxury retail.
- Proven leadership in investigations, risk mitigation, vendor management and cross-functional partnership with Operations, Legal and HR.
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security management, business administration or a related field; advanced degree or professional security certifications preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to travel regionally as required and manage priorities across multiple jurisdictions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and team-development skills; customer-oriented mindset appropriate for luxury retail environments.

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in asset protection, security or loss-prevention, including leadership of investigations and teams within luxury retail or comparable high-value retail environments.
Education
