Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and govern integrated demand and inventory planning processes, establishing forecasting standards, methodologies, and inventory strategies including Target Stock Levels and regional safety stock protocols
  • Oversee the development of rolling forecasts utilizing AI/ML capabilities alongside robust statistical and analytical methodologies
  • Own demand review governance within S&OP and forecast meetings cadence, ensuring structured decision-making forums
  • Ensure alignment between demand plans, budget targets, and Three-Year Plan objectives across all business units
  • Define and oversee Target Stock Level (TSL) methodology across store networks, balancing service level and financial objectives
  • Evaluate inventory trends and propose structural optimization initiatives to enhance availability while optimizing stock investments
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between Sales, Marketing, Supply Planning, Merchandising, and Distribution Planning to ensure demand-supply coherence
  • Communicate demand and inventory assumptions, risks, and opportunities to senior stakeholders to support strategic decision-making
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of demand and inventory planners, defining clear objectives and performance standards
  • Develop and implement advanced expertise, tools, methodologies, and KPIs in demand and inventory planning disciplines
  • Challenge existing processes to drive efficiency improvements and pursue continuous innovation within the planning function

Qualifications

  • University degree in Engineering, Economics, or equivalent education
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Supply Chain Planning roles
  • Proven track record in Demand Planning with demonstrated people management experience
  • Knowledge of planning techniques, models, and industry best practices
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Budget alignment and financial acumen, including working capital and financial impact analysis
  • Proficiency in quantitative data analysis and statistical techniques
  • Expertise in simulation and scenario analysis
  • Fluency in English (Italian is a competitive advantage)
