Bulgari seeks an Assistant Accountant in Sydney to support finance and administration functions including AP/AR, bank reconciliation, and month-end closing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure monthly inter-company reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and profit and loss statements
- Investigate discrepancies and post relevant manual journal entries in SAP
- Assist in general ledger activities including basic journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions in processing, posting, and archiving assigned tasks
- Perform checks on invoices and supporting documents, including review of approvals before processing
- Prepare payments for execution and post transactions in SAP
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of all AP/AR transactions
- Prepare monthly closing including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations to the general ledger
- Support compliance with ATO and IRD reporting requirements
- Assist in documenting processes and ensuring alignment to standard policies across the company
- Prepare bank reconciliation for month-end for either Australia or New Zealand operations
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Business
- Minimum 3–4 years experience in a similar accounting or finance role
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Analytical mindset with strong multi-tasking capability
- Familiarity with SAP accounting software (desirable)
- CPA or CA qualification, or actively working towards professional accreditation (desirable)
- Prior experience in retail, FMCG, or similar sectors (desirable)
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3–4 years of professional experience in an accounting or finance support role, ideally within a multi-entity or international environment. Prior exposure to retail, fast-moving consumer goods, or luxury sectors is advantageous.
Education
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline. CPA or CA accreditation, or candidacy for professional qualification, is preferred.
