Buccellati is hiring a National Wholesale Director in New York — lead U.S. wholesale strategy, grow key accounts and manage P&L for the maison.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute the national wholesale strategy to grow revenue, market share and brand presence across department stores, specialty jewellers and multi‑brand partners in the United States.
- Own P&L responsibility for the wholesale channel: set targets, build annual budgets, manage margin and monitor performance against sales forecasts.
- Manage and develop a portfolio of key wholesale accounts, negotiating commercial terms, assortments, pricing, promotional activity and distribution agreements.
- Partner with merchandising and product teams to develop sell‑in plans, allocate inventory, and ensure optimal assortment and replenishment for wholesale partners.
- Lead, coach and scale a small cross‑functional wholesale team (account managers and regional coordinators), including recruitment, KPIs and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with marketing, client services and visual merchandising to deliver brand‑consistent shop‑in‑shop activations, trade marketing and training for wholesale partners.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and retail performance data; translate insights into commercial actions and product feedback to design and merchandising teams.
- Represent the maison at industry events, trade shows and partner meetings; ensure rigorous adherence to brand presentation, MAP policy and wholesale contractual obligations.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership track record in luxury wholesale or jewellery distribution with at least 8 years of progressive experience, including senior wholesale or national account management roles.
- Demonstrable success managing P&L targets, complex commercial negotiations and multi‑account sales strategies within the luxury or jewellery sectors.
- Experience working with department stores, specialty retailers and global multi‑brand partners, including shop‑in‑shop and concession models.
- Strong commercial acumen with a disciplined approach to forecasting, inventory allocation and margin management.
- Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build long‑term relationships with senior retail partners and internal stakeholders.

Experience
Senior commercial experience within luxury goods, jewellery or high‑end accessories, including direct responsibility for national wholesale accounts, multi‑store distribution and P&L management. Demonstrated record of growing revenue through strategic account development and trade partnerships.
Education
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, luxury management or a related discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
