Role & Responsibilities

  • Liaise with suppliers, procurement and production planners to anticipate material needs, expedite priority orders and resolve discrepancies.
  • Conduct incoming quality checks, flag non-conforming materials and coordinate corrective actions with workshops and Quality Assurance.
  • Prepare materials for costing, sample management and production release; maintain material specification sheets and sample libraries.
  • Support periodic stocktakes, cycle counts and audit preparation; produce materials usage and movement reports for management.

Qualifications

  • Vocational diploma or degree in materials science, metallurgy, gemmology, logistics or equivalent practical experience in a jewellery/manufacturing context.
  • Minimum three years' experience managing materials or inventory within fine jewellery, luxury goods manufacturing, or precision artisanal production.
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated competence in precious-metal handling and gemstone identification procedures.
  • Knowledge of hallmarking, karat verification and basic gemmological terminology.
  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise in a fast-paced atelier environment and maintain confidentiality when handling high-value materials.
