Buccellati seeks Accounting Specialist in Milan. Support financial reporting, GAAP/IFRS compliance, and accounting operations within a luxury jewellery Maison.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, and general ledger postings
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes in accordance with ITA GAAP, IFRS and group policies
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and group reporting packages
- Ensure compliance with local GAAP requirements while aligning with IFRS reporting standards
- Support intercompany transactions and reconciliations across multiple international entities
- Prepare and review VAT returns and assist with other indirect tax filings
- Provide documentation and analysis to support internal and external audits
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper documentation for audit trail purposes
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and corporate governance policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics or related field
- 2 years of accounting experience
- Knowledge and familiarity with local GAAP and IFRS
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience working with ERP systems, particularly SAP
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
- Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Proactive approach to work
