Brunello Cucinelli seeks an Assistant Store Manager in San Francisco to lead sales operations and deliver luxury retail excellence.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Maximize selling opportunities to achieve and exceed individual and department sales goals through strategic team leadership and client engagement
  • Manage and motivate sales associates to deliver industry-leading customer service and build guest loyalty through personalized in-store experiences
  • Develop events and networking initiatives to expand the customer base with emphasis on local market growth and client retention
  • Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge, utilize company resources, and train associates in client relationship management tools and client books
  • Observe and provide feedback on client interactions, ensuring each team member delivers tailored, memorable brand experiences aligned with retention objectives
  • Coordinate staff training programs covering product competency, customer service techniques, sales methodology, and stock management
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures, visual merchandising standards, floor sets, and daily task delegation and prioritization
  • Monitor sales associate performance and contribution to store revenues; conduct year-end evaluations in partnership with Store Manager
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and primary point of contact for corporate partners, embodying brand aesthetic and philosophy
  • Act as interim manager in the Store Manager's absence, making decisions with positive business impact
  • Support onboarding of new staff and maintain effective working relationships across other stores and corporate departments

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred
  • 3–4 years' experience in an equivalent role within a luxury retail environment
  • Proven ability to drive results and meet business goals through effective team leadership
  • Existing client book or demonstrated ability to network and cultivate clientele
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook and Excel)
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds without assistance
  • Availability to work varied schedules including evenings and weekends
