Brioni — Retail Merchandiser in Rome. Lead European retail buying and assortment planning for Brioni's DOS and Outlet network.
Role & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with DOS (directly operated stores) and Outlet teams to plan purchases and maintain optimal stock levels to maximize sales.
- Develop retail buying strategies and assortments that reflect commercial trends while preserving a coherent Brioni brand image for the European market.
- Build and maintain a competitive product assortment aligned with local market demand and seasonal priorities.
- Participate in the retail buying process across all categories and seasons for Europe, providing category input and product selection guidance.
- Identify opportunities to improve product performance and propose corrective actions to increase sell-through.
- Provide continuous buying feedback to store managers and sales teams to inform replenishment and markdown decisions.
- Work closely with Merchandising to address product needs, availability issues and category opportunities.
- Analyze store-level sales and market trends; prepare reports and data-driven recommendations for DOS and Outlet operations.
- Monitor sales results and support key commercial decisions through regular performance reviews.
- Manage purchases and strategic reorders, aligning fashion trends with observed customer buying behavior.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years' experience in a Buying or Retail Merchandising function, preferably within Men's ready-to-wear.
- Demonstrable commercial awareness of European retail markets, competitors and category trends.
- Strong analytical, planning and reporting capabilities with experience monitoring business performance.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with systems for sales monitoring, data entry and stock transfers.
- Fluent written and spoken Italian and English.

Experience
Minimum 3–5 years in buying or retail merchandising, ideally with exposure to Men's RTW and to both directly operated and outlet retail formats; proven track record in assortment planning and sales performance analysis.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Business, Merchandising, Economics or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
