Brioni seeks APAC Retail Director in Shanghai to lead luxury retail operations across Greater China with P&L responsibility and team leadership.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead strategic management and performance of the retail network in Greater China, comprising shop-in-shop locations within department stores
- Define and execute action plans to maximize sales performance, productivity, and profitability across all points of sale
- Conduct regular business reviews with Store Managers, ensuring accountability for KPIs and performance improvement initiatives
- Monitor sell-through, stock levels, merchandising effectiveness, and seasonal performance in collaboration with Merchandising and Supply Chain teams
- Ensure consistent implementation of visual merchandising guidelines and brand standards across all retail locations
- Lead strategic development and execution of Trunk Shows as key commercial and brand-building initiatives, coordinating with HQ and department store partners
- Act as primary point of contact for department store partners, managing relationships to optimize visibility, space allocation, and operational excellence
- Negotiate and oversee commercial and operational agreements in collaboration with headquarters, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and financial objectives
- Lead, coach, and develop retail teams to deliver exceptional luxury client experience
- Oversee talent assessment, performance management, succession planning, and development initiatives in partnership with HR
- Ensure strong product knowledge, selling excellence, and customer-centric behaviors across all teams
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Monitor service quality, CRM execution, and client engagement initiatives in coordination with global guidelines
- Act as brand ambassador in the market, ensuring Brioni's identity, values, and craftsmanship are consistently represented
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in retail leadership roles
- Strong background in luxury retail with specific expertise in department store environments
- Proven leadership and people development skills
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze performance data and translate insights into actionable strategies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin)
