Brioni Legal Counsel position in Rome, Italy—support General Counsel on legal, compliance, and IP matters within luxury fashion house.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate domestic and international commercial agreements in Italian and English, covering distribution, franchise, licensing, wholesale, retail, supply, manufacturing, services, marketing, sponsorship, endorsement, digital, e-commerce, leasing, and confidentiality arrangements
  • Provide day-to-day legal support to business functions on commercial, operational, and strategic projects, identifying pragmatic and risk-aware solutions aligned with business objectives
  • Support intellectual property matters related to protection, management, and enhancement of Brioni's global trademark and brand portfolio in coordination with external counsel and Kering Legal teams
  • Support corporate governance activities, including preparation of board and shareholders' documentation, powers of attorney, company records, databases, and filings in coordination with notaries and corporate advisors
  • Assist on legal aspects of retail, wholesale, franchising, and real estate projects across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring contractual consistency and alignment with business requirements
  • Coordinate relationships with external law firms and legal advisors to ensure efficient matter management, quality of advice, cost control, and consistency of approach
  • Support implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the Kering Compliance Program, including ethics, anti-corruption, sanctions, third-party due diligence, whistleblowing, competition law, and business partner compliance

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Law
  • Admitted to the Italian Bar
  • At least 4–5 years of professional experience in leading international law firms or in-house legal departments of multinational companies
  • Solid experience in commercial contracts and general corporate law
  • Fluent English at C1 level or equivalent
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to combine legal accuracy with pragmatic, hands-on, solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Experience

At least 4–5 years of professional experience gained in leading international law firms and/or in-house legal departments of multinational companies. Previous experience in the luxury, fashion, retail, consumer goods, or jewellery industry is considered a strong advantage. Solid background in commercial contracts and general corporate law; exposure to compliance, intellectual property, and international business operations is highly valued.

Education

Master's Degree in Law; admission to the Italian Bar is required.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from EUR 35,000 to EUR 40,000 per annum.
