Brioni seeks an In-Store Tailor in Washington, DC to deliver bespoke and ready-to-wear alterations for luxury menswear clients.
Role & Responsibilities
- Accurately take body measurements for bespoke clients and communicate measurements to the atelier and bespoke ambassador according to Brioni standards
- Advise clients and sales advisors on alterations required to achieve optimal fit for ready-to-wear garments
- Execute measurements for the bespoke collection including suits, shirts, and casualwear
- Perform mending and alterations on ready-to-wear garments using both hand stitching and industrial sewing techniques
- Assist store personnel in fulfilling customer requests for fitting services on both bespoke and ready-to-wear lines
- Apply tailoring expertise to accommodate diverse body configurations and postures, communicating adjustments professionally to clients
Qualifications
- Training from a pattern-making school or equivalent formal tailoring education
- 3–5 years of professional tailoring experience, preferably in luxury menswear
- Advanced knowledge of garment construction and fabric properties
- Proficiency with both industrial sewing machines and hand-stitching techniques
- Mastery of advanced hand-sewing techniques including buttonholes and seam finishing
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality control
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Skills
Experience
3–5 years of professional tailoring experience, ideally in luxury menswear environments. Demonstrated expertise in both bespoke and ready-to-wear alteration and mending.
Education
Formal education from a pattern-making school or equivalent accredited tailoring program.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 37 to USD 40 per hour.
