Role & Responsibilities
- Define the collection proposal and product strategy for assigned categories in alignment with brand image and customer expectations.
- Collaborate closely with the Creative and Product teams to translate creative direction into commercial assortments and technical briefs.
- Oversee end‑to‑end development of the collection for assigned categories, ensuring quality, innovation and manufacturability.
- Conduct market, competitor and price benchmarking to identify product and commercial opportunities.
- Set pricing in accordance with brand positioning and margin objectives.
- Liaise with retail (RTL) and wholesale (WHLS) teams to gather customer insights and support account selection decisions.
- Present collections and commercial rationale to wholesale, retail and buying teams; guide WHLS accounts during selection and buying appointments.
- Define master order plans with retail teams and structure sales analysis to inform future assortment and replenishment strategy.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years in a comparable merchandising role within a multinational or luxury company.
- University degree in Economics; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification required, ideally specialised in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related fields.
- Fluent in Italian and English.
- Demonstrable luxury product knowledge and strong merchandising track record.
- Refined sense of taste and product sensibility with a clear commercial mindset.
- Proficient in MS Office and BO database systems.
Skills
Experience
At least five years' experience in a similar merchandising or collection planning role within the luxury fashion sector or a multinational apparel company, with proven responsibility for assortment definition, pricing and wholesale/retail collaboration.
Education
University degree in Economics; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification (required), preferably specialised in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
