Brioni Chief Tailor – Shanghai. Lead tailoring operations for a luxury menswear house, overseeing bespoke alterations and ready-to-wear services.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all Atelier activities, ensuring exceptional service standards and adherence to customer requirements for ready-to-wear collections
- Oversee all measurement-taking operations for the bespoke line and coordinate team efforts to meet customer timing and delivery demands
- Execute precision mending and alteration work on ready-to-wear garments, demonstrating advanced tailoring craftsmanship
- Provide expert fitting assistance to store personnel and customers across both bespoke and ready-to-wear collections
- Advise clientele on optimal fitting solutions based on individual posture and body characteristics
- Manage clienteling activities to build lasting customer relationships and ensure personalized service delivery
- Lead and mentor tailoring staff, fostering technical excellence and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in garment alterations within a luxury environment
- Advanced professional understanding of garment fitting, fabric knowledge, styling, and luxury manufacturing techniques
- Demonstrated expertise in men's suiting construction and tailoring techniques at the highest level
- Comprehensive knowledge of diverse fabrications and luxury materials
- Mastery of advanced handwork tailoring skills, including hand-stitched buttonholes and bespoke techniques
- Proven experience in luxury boutique tailoring operations
- Substantial coat-making experience
- In-depth knowledge of men's high-end fashion across both bespoke and ready-to-wear categories
- Fluency in English

Minimum 10 years of professional experience in garment alterations and tailoring within a luxury retail or atelier environment, with demonstrated expertise in both bespoke and ready-to-wear men's fashion.
Education
Formal tailoring qualification or apprenticeship in menswear tailoring is highly desirable; equivalent professional experience in luxury tailoring operations is required.
