Breitling is hiring a Supply Planner in Grenchen to manage supply planning, inventory projections, stock landing commitments, product status and master data governance, and purchasing requirements. The role leads Supply Planning, Supply Review, and S&OP processes across a 24-month horizon for Watch Heads and Finished Watches, aligning demand, capacity, inventory, and operational capabilities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own the supply planning process for Watch Heads and Finished Watches across a 24-month planning horizon.
- Translate strategic demand assumptions into feasible supply scenarios and production strategies.
- Align demand, supply, inventory, and capacity across the end-to-end value chain.
- Define and maintain planning assumptions, constraints, and parameters.
- Serve as the primary interface with Sales Planning, aligning commercial requirements with supply capabilities.
- Lead the Supply Review process and prepare recommendations for S&OP decision-making.
- Consolidate supply plans, capacity assessments, and risk analyses.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment across Demand Planning, Operations, Procurement, and Finance.
- Present supply scenarios, constraints, and recommendations to management.
- Analyze future demand and capacity requirements to identify risks and opportunities.
- Develop and evaluate alternative supply scenarios to support informed decision-making.
- Support long-term inventory optimization and supply chain resilience initiatives.
- Own inventory projections and stock landing commitments, aligning them with inventory targets and business objectives.
- Review, validate, and release purchasing requirements in line with approved supply plans and inventory strategies.
- Monitor supply planning performance and planning accuracy.
- Analyze deviations between demand, supply plans, and operational execution.
- Lead initiatives to improve planning processes, systems, and data quality.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of planning methodologies, tools, and governance.
- Govern product statuses and planning-related master data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliable planning.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in Production Planning or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of industrial operations, production planning, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes; watchmaking industry experience is an asset.
- Solid experience with SAP, particularly Integrated Business Planning (SAP IBP), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Production Orders, Inventory Management, and Sales Orders.
- Advanced Excel and Power BI skills, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint.
- Fluent French and English, both written and spoken.
