Founded in 1884 by Léon Breitling, Breitling is a Swiss watchmaker renowned for its precision chronographs and enduring ties to aviation. Headquartered in Grenchen, the brand combines a distinctive technical heritage with a contemporary approach to luxury, design and responsible business. As an employer, Breitling offers a professional environment spanning watchmaking, engineering, product development, marketing and international retail. Its global presence connects specialist expertise with diverse markets, while its identity remains rooted in Swiss craftsmanship and innovation. For professionals drawn to both mechanical excellence and brand transformation, Breitling represents an opportunity to contribute to the continuing evolution of an established watchmaking house.

Breitling is seeking a Process Optimization Intern to improve After-Sales Service processes, product onboarding and reporting through process mapping, data consolidation and digital tools. The role is a six-month internship in Grenchen.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Map the end-to-end product release process from the After-Sales Service (SAV) perspective, clarifying responsibilities, timing, and information needs from initial product information through readiness to support the product.
  • Define a RACI matrix for each process step, clarifying responsibilities and interactions between SAV and the other functions involved.
  • Formalize the target process and its governance, including validation points, escalation paths, and ownership, and support its deployment across the relevant teams.
  • Digitalize the process by replacing manual tracking and scattered spreadsheets with a single shared information source.
  • Identify recurring reports and decisions requiring data from multiple disconnected sources, and quantify the time spent gathering information manually.
  • Define an approach to consolidating data sources so reports can be generated without repeated manual data collection.
  • Build the priority reports identified and hand them over to the teams that will use them.
  • Contribute to other ongoing SAV projects as needed, focusing on process mapping, continuous improvement, and digital transformation.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a master's degree at a top-tier engineering or business school in Industrial Engineering, Business Engineering, Data Analytics, Digital Transformation, or a related field.
  • Previous academic or internship experience in process improvement, business analysis, or digital transformation projects.
  • Skills in process mapping and analysis, with an interest in further developing them.
  • Project management skills, including scoping, planning, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Advanced Excel skills, strong data analysis capabilities, and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with lean and continuous improvement tools.
  • Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus.
