Breitling Process Methods Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

• Define, industrialize, and optimize manufacturing and assembly processes for watch movements and sub-assemblies
• Optimize and standardize work methods to ensure robustness, quality, and performance of industrial processes across in-house manufacturing and external partnerships
• Develop and standardize production equipment programs according to industrial requirements
• Establish and maintain production routing sheets and associated technical documentation
• Conduct time studies and ensure adherence to production standards
• Author, update, and maintain work instructions and standard operating procedures in collaboration with relevant departments
• Participate in process validations, equipment qualifications, and industrial certifications with the Quality department
• Support acquisition, industrialization, and integration projects for new production equipment
• Contribute to digitalization initiatives and industrial tool improvements
• Actively participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives (QRQC, technical analysis, corrective actions)
• Capitalize on, structure, and transmit technical expertise related to industrial processes
• Provide training and onboarding support to new team members on methodologies and processes as needed
• Communicate clearly, concisely, and strategically with diverse internal stakeholders
• Execute tasks in compliance with work instructions and escalate deviations or issues to management
• Undertake additional assignments as directed by management within the scope of the role

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in process management, microtechnology, or equivalent credential
• Three to five years of professional experience in a microtechnology, mechanical engineering, or watchmaking environment
• Proven field experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
• Demonstrated mastery of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools (VSM, PDCA, 8D, DMAIC)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office suite) and CAD/PDM tools (Inventor and Vault)
• Knowledge of industrialization and standardization methodologies specific to the watchmaking sector
• Ability to observe, analyze production floor conditions, and propose well-reasoned, structured improvements
• Capacity to collaborate effectively across production, quality, maintenance, and industrialization teams
• Fluent in French (spoken and written)
• Competent in English; additional language capabilities are advantageous
• Demonstrates commitment, solidarity, and genuine team spirit
• Methodical, conscientious, and rigorous in execution
• Capable of working independently while thriving in collaborative environments
• Creative problem-solver with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset

Experience

Three to five years of professional experience in a technical industrial environment, preferably within microtechnology, mechanical engineering, or the watchmaking sector, with demonstrated field experience on production floors.

Education

Engineering degree in process management, microtechnology, or an equivalent professional credential.
