Breitling is hiring a Quality Technician for Movement Assembly in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Lead precision quality initiatives in watchmaking.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare inspection sheets and quality documentation
- Provide quality support and guidance to production teams on quality procedures
- Oversee pre-series tracking and component validation at T1 stage
- Record, monitor, and process non-conformities
- Identify issues and recommend corrective solutions
- Ensure adherence to quality standards through workstation audits
- Participate in continuous improvement projects
- Analyze production scrap, track issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Make decisions within the quality deviation workflow according to established procedures
- Develop and track quality performance indicators (KPIs) for workshop operations
- Maintain quality relationships and follow-up with external subcontractors
- Communicate clearly, synthetically, and in a structured manner with all stakeholders
- Produce clear, precise, and high-quality reports
Qualifications
- Technical diploma in Quality (Technicien ES en Qualité) or equivalent qualification
- TQ1 and/or TQ2 certification (advantageous)
- Horological training or certification (advantageous)
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar quality role, preferably in the watch industry with movement expertise
- Knowledge of horological components, particularly movements
- Proficiency with problem-solving tools, technical drawing interpretation, ISO dimensioning, and general metrology principles
- Competency with common IT tools, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) (advantageous)
- Autonomous, methodical, rigorous, and proactive work approach
- Excellent communication skills and ability to draft clear, well-structured documents
- Proactive mindset and active contribution to continuous improvement
- Fluent French (spoken and written); knowledge of English and/or German (advantageous)

3–5 years of experience in a quality or quality assurance role, preferably within the horological or precision manufacturing industry with specific expertise in movement assembly and validation.
Education
Technical diploma in Quality (Technicien ES en Qualité) or equivalent qualification; horological training or certification is advantageous.
