Breguet seeks a Senior Watchmaking Engineer to develop and construct complex watch movements, ensuring innovative technical design, functional validation, and industrialisation aligned with haute horlogerie standards. The role encompasses movement conception and optimisation, cross-functional collaboration with R&D teams, and technical support across departments.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and industrialise complex watch movements and mechanical complications
- Analyse product specifications and ensure precise technical implementation and compliance
- Collaborate closely with R&D, Design, and Product teams on movement development and optimisation
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for existing movement systems
- Provide technical expertise and support to cross-functional departments and in-house laboratories
- Contribute to intellectual property, internal standards documentation, and competitive analysis activities
Qualifications
- Engineering degree in microtechnics or equivalent discipline
- Master's certification in watchmaking construction (MAS) or equivalent advanced horological qualification
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in technical watchmaking bureaux or movement design departments
- Demonstrated expertise in complex mechanical complications and haute horlogerie principles
- Proficiency in 3D design software and numerical simulation (kinematics and dynamics)
- In-depth knowledge of watchmaking markets, materials science, production methodologies, and quality standards
- Fluency with MS Office suite
- Strong analytical, collaborative, and knowledge-sharing abilities

Experience
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in watchmaking technical bureaux, movement development, or horological engineering, with demonstrated expertise in the conception and industrialisation of complex mechanical systems.
Education
Engineering degree in microtechnics or equivalent. Master's certification in watchmaking construction (MAS) or equivalent advanced horological qualification is highly valued.
